The story is well known, but repeat it in case anyone else has been asleep for the past 30 years or so. Gaston Glock designed the first rifle for the Austrian military pistol trials in 1981, which the Austrian military called the Pistol 80 or P80 after its adoption. In 1986, this pistol was introduced to the American market as the G17. A star is born. Not the first polymer pistol ever produced, that distinction goes to the Heckler & Koch VP 70, which predates the GLOCK by 12 years, but remains the most famous of them all. Their technical solutions are indeed a "source of inspiration" (sometimes a milder description of imitation) for many weapon manufacturers around the world.
Lipsey, now one of America's largest independent firearms dealers, offers the exclusive GLOCK P80 9mm with all the features of the "mother of all GLOCKs."
This frame is the "single" type used on the early Gen1/Gen2 pistols as well as the latest Gen5 rifles.
Since it is 100% factory made at GLOCK, it should not be labeled as a replica of the "new" P80, but more accurately a replica of the original 1980s model.

Some of the highlights of the GLOCK P80 pistol include a GLOCK Gen 1 style polymer frame (the "double pin" style was introduced with the Gen2, but the single pin over the trigger returned with the Gen5), old style pebble. -Wrapped pulls, smooth trigger faces, original flat drawers and no extra rails or front slides. (Obviously not your fingertips either!)
The slide also proudly displays the P80 logo, while the sights are polymer. Of course the slide isn't the old Tenfer, it's been replaced with a more modern nDLC button. But most people don't bother to assume they feel it.
To enhance the "nostalgia effect," the gun is housed in its original Tupperware-style case and packaged in custom-designed packaging that captures the gun's historical significance. A certificate of authenticity is also available.
Who is interested in the new first generation GLOCK? For starters, any gun user and GLOCK fan, because it's still a reliable and complete GLOCK pistol. But collectors and nostalgic not-so-young shooters want to relive the 1980s or miss out on a chance to own a GLOCK Gen1 back then. To get their wish, they will have to pay $669, the retail price of the limited edition GLOCK Pistole P80. , an Austrian pistol manufactured in the early 1980s.
